Bluetooth LE infrared motion sensor beacon for sensing and IoT applications. Used for sensing there's an item placed <50cm away (See the PIR model for detection within 5m). It detects presence (0 or 1), not distance. The infrared sampling period is 1 sec. The beacon advertises when there's a change of state from 0->1 or 1->0 or every  advertising interval if there's no change of state.

Can power from 2x CR2032 or via micro USB smartphone charger (not supplied). Slide switch on bottom selects between battery and micro USB power.

Note that this Bluetooth beacon is not an iBeacon nor Eddystone beacon. The advertising data is instead wholly used for sensor data. The beacon broadcasts the sensor status and battery level. You will need an app or gateway to scan and get the advertising data.

2.9 years battery life with the default advertising interval (10 secs) and 120 change of state events per day.

An Android configuration app allows changing of transmit power level and the advertising interval (100ms to 10 mins, default 10s). There is no iOS configuration app.
