Latest V3 version of the Bluefruit LE Friend. USB to BLE beacon for experimentors that can be connected via USB. Use a terminal emulator or other hardware/software to send commands to the beacon for setup or real-time control allowing you to control beacon operation from a PC, iOS or Android. 

This beacon is based on the Nordic nRF51822 AC chipset offering more memory (32Kb) than most other beacons using the AA variant. Firmware can be re-programmed using the Nordic SDK. The larger memory makes it suitable for more ambitious applications such as Eddystone firmware and Bluetooth mesh firmware.

Switch between UART mode (transparent data transfer, anything you type will be sent, and data from phone is received as well) or CoMmanD mode, where thanks to an easy to learn AT command set, you can also create you own basic GATT Services and Characteristics, simulate Beacons, and change the way that the device name appears/advertises itself. Can be used to transmit ibeacon, Eddystone or any custom advertising.
